“The Alberta landscape captures my interest. Using ¾” strips of batiks fabrics allows me to create dynamic colorful designs. I find tremendous satisfaction in selecting fabrics and completing the construction process. Horizon (Banners #1 and #2) reflects the rich earth of Alberta with brown, golden, green, red and purple strips. The sky embraces the vibrant yellow, pinks, magenta, red purple, purple, blues and black (milky way) of the prairies. The works is meant to inspire ones’ dream for renewal and embracing a new beginning with warmth and free spirit.”
