Artist Statement
“ When I was a child, we had an old tapestry with an image of a shipwreck.
I would stare at it for hours wondering where they were and what happened to the people on the boat. I did not like it because it was dark and sad. The YW art project allowed me to create small tapestries that are fun and full of color. I hope that children will see beauty, a positive story and that the images will fill their minds with curiosity.”
